Sprint dominates ANY and ALL competition. And the Iphone. - Page 4

im sorry, but that video is misleading. everyone knows that EVDO > EDGE, especially if you live in a EVDO Rev A area. you can say any phone is better then iPhone if you are simply comparing internet speed.

ive been on the SERO plan since last June when the Mogul came out and its awesome. i also get a 23% discount, which makes my bill $25 a month.

a few issues that really irk me is that i paid $400 for their flagship phone and i cant use basic things like Sprint TV and MMS.

WTH Sprint??

also, i would hardly consider the Samsung Instinct an iPhone killer since it runs a proprietary OS that means ZERO third apps. even Apple has third party app capability.

just because it looks like an iPhone doesnt mean jack squat.

personally, i like my Mogul with Windows Mobile, does EVERYTHING i need it to do and can get my Apple Touch online to browse via WMWiFiRouter

If you are with Sprint you can switch now. If they give you any problems tell them you want to speak with Retentions.

It's not going anywhere. Also, it only works if you're a new customer.

The butt kissing department that's sole purpose is to keep you from leaving.

You can start with Sprint when ever you want, the only problem is that if you cut off your phone before your contract is up on your current carrier you'll get charged a deactivation fee. If you port over the same phone # from the other carrier it automatically cuts that phone service off.

What if the contract is still with sprint? Sorry I am asking so many questions. I feel like I am not getting a very good deal right now and would be interested in this... So if I switch to this plan through sprint because it would be starting a new contract I would get billed a fine?

Transonic is wrong about one thing. It is not only for new customers. Existing customers may switch. Technicly speaking you can only switch if you cancel your existing plan when it expires THEN switch to Sero opening up a new account.

HOWEVER you CAN switch to Sero if your within 2 months of your current contract is up. I've done it and I know about 25 people who have also migrated to Sero even when Sprint states that you can't. It's a "grey area" that almost always goes to the customers benefit. I also know of 2 who migrated over even when their current contract wouldn't expire for a year.

Simply put Sprint does not want to lose you and almost always goes in the customers favor. Sprint is hurting financially right now as they have pumped out billions into making their network better with numerous new towers, and government contracts. They are also newly partnered with Time Warner Cable.

Great deal but there's 1 reason I won't use Sprint. CDMA. I dont want to have to pick between signing my life away for another 2 years or paying a ridiculous price to upgrade my phone. With T-Mobile I can buy an unlocked phone, move my sim card, and I'm ready to roll. If Sprint gets the HTC Touch Diamond I will seriously consider this because I have a feeling HTC will be gay and go with a CDMA carrier. Probably Verizon though. :/

Sorry man but things have changed. You used to be able to do it but the company has been cracking down a lot lately. Once you're SS# is in the system you can't be "new" anymore. Again, if you get a sibling or someone to do it then you're all set but you can't leave & come back and be considered "new" again. If you manage to pull it off with the help of an employee there's a good chance they're gonna get a visit from corporate security (very bad news). If you can pull it off yourself by throwing a fit to customer care then you got two thumbs up in my book.

The main sero site states that it's "available to both new customers, and existing customers who open up a new line of service". In otherwords if your existing simply wait until your current contract expires, close that line of service. Then open a new line of service with Sero.

I just called Sprint 5 minutes ago to confirm this, and indeed it's all true.

As for switching before your current contract (line of service) is up that is "migrating" and technicly it's not allowed, although it's done on a daily basis. As a matter of fact I helped 3 people today get Sero who's contracts had not been up yet. I myself got it that way. Technicly speaking this shouldnt be able to happen but it does - every day.

So yes existing customers CAN and DO do it. The Sprint forums are full of people getting Sero who are existing customers.
