???

I don't have the money I want for a 60" LCD 1080p HDTV, which is BestBuy's fault for pricing it so high which means I should be able to just take it from them?!?!?

According to a few people... you should be ok. Although to some since you can see it.... it's stealing, but if you can't see it... it's not stealing... so wear a blind fold .... and that should cover that too..

Economic problems are worldwide... And that is no excuse since game prices haven't changed to reflect inflation prices.

File this one under corporate propaganda.

Anyone who wants a real experience from the game is going to BUY the game. If not, then they would never have bought it. Thus, piracy has little - no effect on a companies balance sheet, therefore making it a victumless crime. Is it wrong? Yes.

But oh yeah... people aren't perfect. Nor is the world perfect.

The piracy of digital media and the theft of physical objects cannot be compared. Can you copy a car, that old lady's handbag, that 60'' TV? No. Piracy is all about economics, if you sell it for more that some people who want it are willing to pay and they can pirate it at little cost to them, they most likely will. The solution to piracy is an economic one, not SecuRom which has been proven to be totally ineffective. When you spend money developing and licensing DRM you are making a poor economic choice as no current DRM has stopped piracy. The pricing model must be changed, whether it is to lower prices, or use micro-transactions, or episodic content, or subscription based service, or any combination of those and any other potential models. You cannot approach the problem as a moral or ethical one if you want to solve it and morals and ethics are not constants, and you should count on there being people who have none of either.

So what if I am a gamer, but do not have the money to buy these games...Should I just never play video games again? Nah, I think I will pirate software as long as it's possible.
