I don't see how selling on your games/cds is somehow better than distributing pirate games/music, the only difference is you can take a cut yourself which seems less moral imo but it is viewed as totally acceptable...
Haswell fun.

When are you people going to understand that replicating and stealing are two different things?
Why is this just a difficult concept for you to comprehend?

Call it whatever you want. Stealing is stealing. If you get it for free and someone else has to pay for it... I don't care what you call it. You stole it or someone gave it to you as a gift and they either paid for it or stole it.

It's not stealing as you are not physically taking anything from them. They still have the original product and it's not like they are actually losing anything like if you stole someones car or w/e.

People don't see it as stealing, they just don't. I don't know why companies don't realize this. I personally saw the day it was harder to use the anti-piracy system then to copy over a cracked executable as the day all became fair. Stealing or not thats the view of most people here i think. So to say : "All is fair in love and war, and copy protection was the first strike."

But I still buy the game, that's what I don't get. You people using that as an excuse to not buy the game, dangit just because you got it from a torrent and have a cracked exe doesn't mean someone has a gun to your head saying don't buy the game. BUY THE DANM GAME, we all know how to get around their pain in the a$$ DRM's so that is no excuse.

Ok, think of it this way, you get a game by torrent, yes the store has the original now but that creates a surplus of stock which means their supply is higher than the demand. No simple economics should answer the rest for you. Higher supply and low demand equals no sales and way less profit. Hhmm, if I have a company do I want to just barely make money or do I want to MAKE MONEY?? These Devs aren't making these games JUST for fun!!!!!!

while I dont pirate games or software, I refuse to buy an audio CD, I totally disagree with the music industry, its just a bunch of corrupt thieves...The average artists gets less than 68c from the sale of a compact disk...While I do download music, I do donate alot to musicians...I think musicians should start releasing their music themselves, and keep 100% of the profit...

its copying and taking something that you have no permission to do so. which is disrespectful to those who spent time and energy on the content. it is still stealing.

Eight pages of opinion. Cool, now stop. People pirate and always will. So stop crying about it and move on with your life. Crimes will always be committed until the end of time. Just like c.ockroaches and gangs.
