Going against the Grain...

Hey all. I have been listening to all arguments against consoles, the Controller rather than a standard Mouse and Keyboard. I have decided that I will try using an Xbox 360 Controller for CSS. I will be playing on the OCN GunGame 100tick server. Come check me out when I play!

This is essentially a log of me trying to be somewhat good on a strictly PC game with a console controller.

I am using Windows Games for Windows controller, and Xpadder for key mapping.

Note that I am not an exemplary CSS player anyways, but if I kill you, prepare to be ridiculed.

I will post my progress!

LET THE FLAMING BEGIN!

j/k. Keep it intelligent, how about it?

have fun with that. I tried it out a while back, but I could never get the 360 controller perfect for the control scheme I wanted to use. It would work, each axis would control look/movement, but it wasn't good enough for my tastes. It works for the consoles, not so much for the pc. but try it yourself and see. Plus, it's kinda cool to show your friends that you can play CSS or any other pc game with an Xbox controller.

Yeah, I am still tweaking it. I am trying to get "mouse" movement speed correct while keeping it accurate.

Try it, and you will always go back to the mouse.

There's always the part of you which will complain that you died unfairly, and blame it on the controller.

Don't make yourself excuses.
