Linux SMP

Is the SMP meant to use a quad core 100% or do i need to run a second client?
In Linux, it will run somewhat below 100%. I run two instances of SMP on my Linux rigs, but it doesn't affect the CPU utilization all that much. I do it to help with the rare instances when a folding client locks up; the other one keeps chugging along and keeps the computer going full steam.

It can't hurt to run two clients. Just be sure to set the machine ID on the two clients to be different.
