Thread Starter
I'm having trouble with my video card because of its low 3dmark06 score, so i tried to update the bios, then the asus bios update stopped working so it said if either id like to debug or close the program, i chose to close the program. now im trying to flash once again but it says unable to detect asus bios! what should i do? thanks in advanced!

Well you should never update the bios from the windows environment because it just causes problems. but seeing as it's already been done i guess you should restart. I mean, you can't leave your computer on forever so you may as well see what damage has been done. I'm not sure on Asus' warrenty but they should just send you a new card.

This might not help but next time you should flash from DOS.

Flashing from Windows is not 100% safe.

Well if you're trying to flash it again and it says unable to detect BIOS, then i doubt there is much you can do about it. Just restart man. You never know, it might be okay

if you cant find a bootable iso, then go grab a bootable flash drive to put bios on, then restart and set it as 1st boot drive and flash it....

Ive flashed many motherboards from windows without an error, but never flashed a vid card...

The only options to reflash would be to use a PCI GFX card to see the display or blind flash. I am assuming that you no longer have a display?

EDIT: Doh, must mean the mobo. I would try to restart. If it is working now, I doubt that it was a bad flash. it could have been just a fault in the applivcation before it even had a chance to write the new BIOS.
