" but that is not what I did, I was not able to connect to any ms site at all"like msupdate" I think that was from the ms sites being overflowed by millions of downloads ect, what I did, I gave up trying for a day or so and then tried downloading again, finally I was able to connect, download the ISO file, I was able to connect and download the file in 15 min. or so, mounted it with power ISO and boom the install worked flawlessly.
Yes Installing it will be fine.
