THats only if its a wireless connection. You should get one of these. I have that and a few other routers. For the money they are great. THere are many software upgrades that you can get for them.
You will want to get that router and some Cat6 Ethernet cable. That network should be fine for a normal user.

Mort, I have an old Linksys G that gave me nothing but trouble. My house is wired with CAT 5e......I'd be interested if you cold direct me to some of those software upgrades you mentioned ( sorry to steal the thread......).

If you get the WRT54G, install the dd-wrt custom firmware on it. It unlocks the router's potential by giving you access to alot more settings and stuff! For instance, you can raise the antennae voltage to give you a stronger signal. good luck!
