well, read the changelog, see whats fixed.. if you have any of those issues, then update, if you have issues with your pc in general, then update, and if nothing is wrong, and you arent experiencing any problems with your pc, and you dont see anything added to the bios update that you would like to have on your own machine, why update?

Where I work, the management likes to fix things that arent broken.. and know what happens? They break it, then they get to fix it twice. IF ITS NOT BROKEN DONT PHIX IT.

Haha, thats funny cuz I have the same board and I tried some new bios out and it blew my psu for some reason, so I had to get another.
Im not sure if it was the bios or the psu just went berserk but I didnt need to update the bios, I just like to have the latest bios out.
Well yeah, thats my story and I still dont learn.
I might change bios to latest one out since Im using the 9850 on this board.
Whatever you do, dont use asus update! Always do it manually in bios.
GL!

Chaos, that just doesn't sound right. What brand/model PSU was it? Are you plugged into a surge/ups?

Good luck

Well it was a generic UPS, and yeah it was plugged into a surge protector.
I think it was going bad anyway, so I doubt the bios update had anything to do with it. I just found it weird it died when I updated the bios.
Now Im using the Corsaid 520HX which I love.

Chaos, what kind of "generic" UPS is it? Do you have random browns outs in your neighborhood? How about dirty power? My UPS at home switches to battery at least once a day. I'm glad you picked up the 520HX. I trust everything that is built by Seasonic

Good luck

I use the OCZ gameXstreme quad rail 600w PSU.. I love it. Only downside is the non-modular design, but I cant complain because its an incredible value for its price.
