Thread Starter
So I just wanted to talk about this codename Deneb. All I can say is I can't wait, and its nice to know that these processors will work with AM2/AM2+ boards. Any thoughts from all you Aware Mundane Dudes, and dudets. (Intel welcome)

i have been AMD loyal for a while, but i gotta admit, if AMD doesnt pull of something pretty good with these 45nm quads, i might be jumping ship

I don't understand posts like this...maybe because I don't have a ton of money to spend on the highest performing part. But I'm only using my X2 at 2.5ghz and it does everyone I ask it to do just fine. You've got a 6400! Do you really need better right now, or even 6 months from now?

Wow a new one already... nice... I installed a 9850 BE a while back and love it. I was a little upset that I could not get it to clock very high (@2.8 stable). I was able to clock my 6000+ to 3.5 with little trouble and found myself comparing the 2 clock speeds and wanting my 9850 to get that high, which would be great. But at the lower clock it still smokes the 6000+ @ 3.5 hands down.

Looking forward to the new chip, and seeing what it can do......And its great that it will run on my AM2+ MB.
