Question to Antec 900 owners

Thread Starter
I'm a new owner of an A900, planning to flip the PSU upside down for the extra ventilation and cut a 140mm hole in the bottom (among other things). I don't have the PSU yet, but I plan to use a Corsair 750TX (http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817139006) which is 6.3" long and 5.9" wide.

I measured out what I THINK is the right center for the hole, but for some reason it just doesn't look right. Could anyone tell me how far from the back edge of the case the center for the 140mm PSU fan hole should be using this PSU?

If I were you I'd wait till I actually have the PSU in my hands before I start cutting holes.

Why are you doing this, may i ask?
something like this ?

In this way ,the PowerSupply can suck all the time full fresh air from the outside the case , in my opinion is a very good idea , no problem with the dust because the fan of the PSU just in case of dust ,push immediately to the back of the case everithing that come with the airflow , therefore the dust have no possibility to sit down inside the PSU

ummm... My PSU is upside down and flush against the back wall, so...

A dirty calc would be 70mm plus about 1" (fan placement on psu), so roughly 95 mm.

Why though? The 200mm fan and the other one on the back are designed to remove that heat... i mean hot air rises? Also, if you have the hot air running out the bottom of your case, wont some of it creep round the front and get sucked back in? All your doing is heating up your case, recirculating hot air.

why the bottom exactly? the flipping over thing i did but you don't need to cut anything out. plus psu come in standard size unless noted.

Doesn't that statement go against what you said though? If hot air rises and the PSU fan is an intake, it would have some benefit from facing downward.

I've seen this done but I'm not sure if it's totally necessary.

Still, if you're set on it, wait until you have the PSU in your hands before you cut anything.
