I'm going to have to try this. I think my northbridge is holding me back from overclocking my Q9450 past 400FSB, and my best guess is the northbridge is the problem. Now to find a nice and cheap 50mm fan...

This is a decent way to keep your NB cool:

Has a swivel base to allow different CPU coolers enough clearance. I have used it with an AC7 and a T.R.U.E. with plenty of room.

Yeah. I actually just ordered a Thermalright HR-05 instead though. Mounting the fan on the stock heatsink of this board was just temporary.

Just finished cleaning off the Thermal "Paste" Gigabyte put on the northbridge. That stuff is like dried toothpaste. I don't know how any heat at all could transfer. Now I have a nice layer of AS5 down and hopefully that will give me slightly more headroom when overclocking.
