X2 6000+ ocing

Hey guys

was wondering if you could help me out im trying to OC a am2 X2 6000+ i can get it to run at 3.335 per core stable under stress tests for 48 hours but im trying for more im running a big typhoon cooler and it runs at 45c on load at 3.335 so i dont think cooling is a problem but when it gets to 3.5 it only runs for 5 min befor dying


any help tips whatever would be great thanks guys

wow nice OC. On my 6000 I could only do 3.2.
Did you try uppin vcore, and ram voltage?
It might be your ram holding you back, change ram frequency to 667 and try again so you know its not your ram holding you back.
Also try different Multis and HT's.
Make sure your HT is between 900 & 1100, if its higher lower your HT Multi.
I would be happy with what you got, I wish I hit that high.

Hi. There are many tings that could be holding it back but i think its more likely that you've reached your limit. It not common for 6000's to only hit 3.2 or 3.3. I'm not saying give up, keep pushing it!

What vcore are you at, and what temps under full load?

vcore of 1.55 (shown as 1.34 in cpu-z) and temps under load are 52c with the big typh on it rams at 2.1v i will be pushing for more later on tomorrow so ill keep you posted

I wouldn't suggest any more voltage, especially for long term full time use. I have stuff 1.6 into an amd but there is high risk even there.
