I know that this is the communication HT Link between the NB and SB chipsets, but what is the frequency supposed to be? I have always left this on Auto...

If it´s this one in the BIOS

Extreme Tweaker, System Clocks, SPP<-> MCP Ref Clock, MHz

[200 MHz] is default and with

Extreme Tweaker, Overclocking, LDT Frequency

[5x] it ad up to 1000MHz in each direction, it´s a inheritance from Nvidia´s AMD nForce 4.

It should be as close to 1000 as possible otherwise performance get hampered.

I have tried both 200x5 and 250x4 on my Striker Extreme and both worked, 250x4 should get a little better performance but I didn´t noticed any different when a ran SLI, neither higher fps, smoother play or faster datatransfer to or from my diskdrive.

I don´t know if there´s any issues if you have it on auto and ran SLI and OC system.

You have to try for your self.
