I hate to be a fanboy, but I have to say Z-5500s

I didn't have much room for a 5.1, but I got it anyway. Made room, and I haven't regretted it at all.

You can have that nice SLi 8800gtx's on your 30 inch screen and all, but you will never be really immersed in a game like CoD4 until you are surrounded by realistic sound that blows you away.

I play CoD4 and my sub shakes the house.

I'd go with the Altec Lansing FX5051. Completely blows Creative's and Logitech's 5.1 away.

Thread Starter
LOL, based on the responses so far that are pertinent to 2.1 (instead of 5.1) and and realistic prices (I've seen those Martin Logans live - uh-friggin-mazing), I'm leaning toward Klipsch. Despite all the posts of Z-2300 users, they seem to be a little higher quality, and I don't mind that the cone is a bit smaller - I'd rather have a higher, balanced level of quality than just heavy bass.

Still, do any of you that posted about having Z-2300's have any reasons to prefer them over the Klipsch's? One even admitted to being a fanboy (I don't hold it against you, just taking it into account), so I'm giving you guys a chance to justify your purchase. Did any of you (other than the one poster who specifically mentioned it) consider buying Klipsch instead? If so, why'd you choose Logitech? Purely on price, or what?
