I would like to buy a gaming laptop, advice needed

Thread Starter
Hi, I'm looking for a Gaming laptop. My budget is £1300. I have done a little research and the best looking deal out there seems to be:
MSI Gaming GX700 Extreme Edition
It looks too good to be true, it looks great. Can anyone help me find a different laptop? Im just looking for a good deal.
I found this:
Acer Laptop
But it wasnt as good as the first.
Any help would be appriciated!
Thanks.

The ASUS C90 can house a good graphics card and use Socket 775 processors But it tends to run hot, so only get it if you have a nice cold environment. I have mine and I'm trying to sell it because I just need something more mundane.

I recommend Kobalt above all others for gaming notebooks.
Mojave IX with 8700M GT from £1333
The base model is fast enough to play the Orange box or CoD4 at 1920x1200 on decent settings.

I got an Asus M50sa-X1 about a month ago. I've been playing Sins of a Solar Empire and CS:S with no problems with high settings. Overall I'm really happy with it, you should add it to your list of options.

I would look at the Sager NP5793. It offers the nVidia 8800M GTX 512MB. Also, if you want the baddest sub-$3000US laptop around, check out the Sager NP9262. Same GPU only it's available IN SLI. The NP9262 incorporates a desktop processor, which used to be a bit of a bad idea, but it also manages to be one of the coolest-running 17" machines available by many accounts.

I don't know how the currency converts, but the Gateway P-6860 FX is also a very attractive deal. It might be the best option for your budget, if you want it to be game capable as long as possible, thought the Sager NP5793 is only a little more and would be my preference.

Btw, if you buy Sager, get it from XoticPC.com. I have heard a great many glowing stories of their sales and customer support afterward.

I would have to say for your budget, something from the dell xps range would be pretty good, you can get a 15.4" with an 8600m gt for £650 from tesco, or you look on the website, you can configure your own. Also, as much as I hate the rip off company, you can configure a fairly decent alienware laptop with an 8800gtx for around the £1300 mark

I might add that the Gateway P-6860 FX is getting in the 9500 range in 3D Mark 06.
