Negative. XP's MINIMUM system requirements are 64MB RAM. And it CAN BE DONE. Is it painful to use, yes. But it does work....I know, I've done it with a P1 clocked at a whopping 133MHz (overclocked of course). It DOES in fact work. Actually, as far as my own PERSONAL minimum requirements I would never go below:
500Mhz Celeron, Pentium, AMDK6, AMD Duron, Cyrix, whatever
256MB RAM

Those are just my own personal minimum requirements, however last time I checked the OFFICIAL minimum requirements for XP were (and this is the last time I checked):
300MHz Celeron / AMD or 266MHz Pentium II
64MB RAM
800x600 capable video card at 60Hz (so pretty much anything)
and roughly 2.5GB Hard drive

Like I said, that's the last time I checked....so in all reality, the OP COULD in fact install Windows XP. It would be painful, but it would also be possible.
