There's alot of known members we've "lost" to WoW

Bigval, Transonic, PCNerd, AndrewChamp (less known), Shawn (worst of all), and a couple of others I can't remember.

Lets give a moment of silence to those we lost to this terrible affliction.

On another note, it is unusual to see WoW and GF (the girlfriend variety) without the word "No" in between.

I think I figured out why people get lost in it - no clock!! I played it last night after I got home from work. I wanted to be in bed at 2 A.M. I thought, "Oh, I'll play WoW for a bit and head to bed." After I got accomplished what I wanted, it was 4:10.

There's no clock in the actual game - no sense of time whatsoever. You know, even in GTA games you at least have a clock/play clock/certain times of the day.

I think the lack of a sense of time is how people can get so lost in it. I'm going to start putting my cell phone on an alarm and sticking it in front of me, so it can alert me at a certain time that, "It's time to stop playing WoW." Plus, my trial subscription will soon end. Since I'm too cheap to pay monthly for a game, I won't have to worry about playing it when it expires If I get lost, it'll only be for 23 more days.

I can just say as much, that bigvaL has disabled WoW from xfire so you can't see him playing it

I hope he doesn't see this

There is a clock in the game. You just have to hover your mouse over the moon or sun by the mini map. If you get Titan Panel you can display the time on that all the time on a small lower bar.

Xfire also has an option of making an overlay UI in your game that shows clock

it's like a casino, except you don't lose enough money to stop or be forced to stop, at the same time you end up giving your life to it.
Blizzard is brilliant, but their RTS's are what is amazing (SC, WC3)
their MMORPG is a force to be reckoned with.
