EVGA 680i or Asus Striker Extreme

Hey guys i have the evga 680i currently.
I have got an oc of 3.4 daily use out of evga's board.
However im on my third board. The first 2 boards i received from a computer shop and they had almost identical serial numbers. I'm thinking maybe i received a bad batch. The 1st board just pooped out on me, i got a second and after 2 months a single socket pin had failed. I RMA'ed it to evga and they are sending me a third from evga directly.
I have a friend of mine offering me the Asus Striker Extreme for $275.
Can anyone give me any ideas on how good the Asus board is.
Should i make a switch or is the 680i from evga a better build and better Overclocking board. So far i have LOVED EVGA's board and have enjoyed the overclocking and performance it has given me.
I also noticed the striker1 has the 680i chipset. I'm not doubting evga yet, until i get this third board in. I always clean up the North and south chipsets because of the crap tim and overloading tim they place.
But.... Do you guys think the asus striker is a better board ?
Should i switch? Or stick with evga's board.
In the end... months down the road... ill probably buy the 780 or 790i chipsets from evga.

Please help me with some tips information or anything you guys can share with me to allow me to make a nice decision on where to go from here.

The Striker Extreme is terrible at OCing quads (you are lucky to get past 3ghz). Stick with reference boards. (eVGA, XFX)

PFFFFFFFFFFFFT POOOOOP on the asus striker then !

Thanks marin

sticking with my 680i from evga, seeing as i made 3.6 on air with minimal temp increases.

The Vid on my chip is 1.212, VERY LOW !
I wanna be able to OC my chip to the max !!!
