Overclocking 8800 GTS question

Thread Starter
I have been overclocking my 8800 GTS 512 with rivatuner 2.09, including a program called Video card stability test.

I have managed to push the clocks to:

Core: 805 MHz
Shaders: 1850 MHz
Memory: 1100 MHz

At these speeds I load at 59C with the fan at 80%. No artifacts nor instabilty is visible while playing games/stress testing with Video card stability tester.

I ran ATITool yesterday and every 1-2 minutes I was getting a very minute artifact which would reset the timer. This is odd as runnning ATITool gives me a maximum of 52C when testing so its test is weaker than the stability tester.

I'm wondering if it is safe keeping these clocks as my games run smooth with no issues atm.

Edit: Tested the overclock with EVGA Precision and it tells me 'The driver passed clock testing'
Is this software reliable?

Thanks

Personally, i would use ATI Tool for artifact scanning. It's been out longer and is tried and tested.

Hmmm thats what my thoughts were as many people use it. It seems its the only program which tells me something is wrong with the overclock.

If you go into the settings of ATI Tool you can make the Artifact Detection even more sensitive to issue. Which i would certainly recommend.

Thanks for the advice.

I found Artifact Scanning in the settings and upped the heatup-phase including the first phase for (hopefully) maximum stress.

I can't find any settings regarding to the sensitivity for the detection of artifacts. I'm running version 0.27 if that helps...
