Me either. We have a BB and CC right around the corner from each other but for some reason the BB is always packed where CC isnt NEAR as busy. I never understood why...

Well that's a bummer. I've bought all kinds of good stuff from CC. They also have a great cd selection.

Way to go... you are really clever, also, make sure that all the people working at CC , ( good or bad ) should feel good that some of them might lose their livelihood , way to go man ! you are so cool ! and by that statement you are also implying that they should die, that so radical ! !

after reading reactions on the internal forums of circuit city, and checking out BBL's concept stores, I'm cautiously optimistic.

The concept stores are actually the direction CC wanted to go in anyway and if a merger is what it takes to do it and make it profitable, then so be it. I just hope that the ensuing layoffs wont be for sales floor associates.

It seems that Circuit City may follow those same steps shortly.

Other than computer/electronics, both Montgomery Ward & the Woolworth stores followed the same pattern EggHead did.

With the exception that the Woolworh stores closed, transitioned and is now known as FootLocker.

Much of this can be found on Wikipedia BTW.

NewEgg and Directron have been selling appliances in the past year or so knowing that the on-line retail market is going to be swamped with eRetailers that once had big name and retail brands in local cities.

Time will tell how CC evolves.

It's too bad all of that is wrong..

EggHead was bought out by Amazon not NewEgg, but NewEgg I guess took the name EggHead and started up....

Google EggHead and you will find Amazon.com, as well as there are many sources about this.

Anyways, CC sucks. I hate the store and the staff are clueless. BB is okay, not that bad but Newegg is the best for those who don't need some clown telling me USB Flash Drives work in any computer.
