Also i have ran my cpu for 3dmark06 at a fsb that was way above what was stable, prime would fail in seconds. Yet it completes 3dmark just fine. In fact i am not exactly sure what the upside is of being 6-8hrs stable if you don't bluescreen~
Well, the upside is no crashing, data corruption, blue screens, freezing and all the other wonders of instabillity. I don't see the point of having a system that is stable for a graphic benchmark only. I do much more with my PC than run benchmarks and game.
personally, I have had systems fail stress testing after a few seconds, after an hour and after 5 hours. I, personally, prefer to have a completely stable system. That is more important than a few more mhz's, but to each their own
