i have come upon a few hundred dollars for an upgrade and i am wondering based on whats in my sig what would be best a Q6600 or 8800gt

You CPU has a good OC, go for the 8800GT - You wont be dissapointed

If your into gaming I would say the GPU since the 8600 arnt that great. Personally I would upgrade to a quad since I don't do much gaming.

Yea the 8800gt. Ive actually come from the same type of computer. 8800gt was def the better choice. Actually, they have 8800GTS's for $200 now, and 9800GTX for $250 now if your interested PM me

agreed 8800gt unless you are video coding or folding/benching alot then a quad will have very little gains for you.

8800GT will offer more of a performance gain for gaming while the Q will offer it for everything else. Now, since most people don't need the power of a Q, I say get the GFX card.

This is a 8800GT call definitely. A big upgrade from your 8600GT. Saw you have a Antec 500W PSU so it is ready to go.
