What games truly take advantage of having a quad except Supreme Commander and a patched Oblivion?

There isn't a point yet. His higher clocked dual will perform much better.

Plus, I picked that E6750 up for $120, and I already had one... quite cheaper than a Quad, and no significant disadvantage. Those E6750's are nice CPUs.

I see. But wouldent a quad core be a better long-term investment over all?

By the time a quad matters in gaming, there will be something else out that will offer a better price/performance.

I don't really believe in 'future proofing'. And indeed... by the time a Quad becomes beneficial, there will be something better.

Mmmmm Quad for $170 sounds nice. But that'll be for a folding rig of course Gotta lay low for a couple weeks though.
