The only game that I haven't been able to absolutely max out @ 1680x1050 is Crysis. I want to upgrade just for the sake of upgrading, but I honestly can't think of any need because my card still runs like a champ.

Yeah. The 8800GTS 320 is still a great card. I own it and play at 1280*1024 and it runs everything great maxed out. ( I play COD4, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Gears of War)

PS: Nice to see other Calgarians on here!

Also that 8800GT is a great steal for 150.

I run the 8800GTS 320 in 1680x1050 maxed out in all games except for crysis, and its fast. If you can get it dirt cheap then its not a bad investment, so you can wait and see what becomes 9800 cards after the 9900's are announced. I have an XFX with a slight oc, runs like a champ. I cool it with a zalman vf1000+rhs88

the 320mb cards are as cheap as the 7900gs was right before the 8800s launched. My 320mb sli costs around $300 to do which isnt bad because I feel like it outperforms some of the 9 series cards. I would put money on it that it would perform on par with a 9800GTX. Im not saying that these cards are the best because they are not. I just dont think I will be upgrading for a while. All my games fly just fine!

Crysis is very playable at 1280x1024 all maxed dx10 and it plays very fluent on DX9 @ 1600x1200.

Just wanted to let you know I love these cards. Ive owned 3x 320mbs and the first I sold. I also had an 8800GT before the 320mb GTS I dont see any difference per 1 card. Go with it. YOu will love it!

I own one and have no complaints whatsover, and I think I'll have it for 1 - 1,5 years more, depending on how games improve in this time =P

Well if the new 3dmark benchmark somehow proves how future games will run we are all in serious trouble.. How long did it take for 3dmark06 to run smooth though. I generaly in sli Get around 80-120fps in 3dmark06 discluding the cpu test. I get around 2 fps.. LOL

It is still definitely good, especially at 1280x1024. The only advantage of getting it over a used 8800GT though, would be if you could get it dirt cheap.

The G92's extra shaders/increased shader performance will help its longevity.

I personally would try and wait it out for a bit longer.

Wait for what? The 9900GTS?
