2gig or 4 gig?

Hey all-

I was wondering-

as you can see below, i have 2gig of 8500c5d dominators. i was wondering what you guys would think about replacing them with a 4 gig set? any suggestions which set? would i see a performance boost?

currently, when i try to overclock my video cards using riva tuner, i am able to increase all the clocks 20 points, but then see no change in my 3DMARK score. i am thinking that there may be a bottle neck, and that my ram is that bottle neck

i am currently running 32bit vista and i am afraid also that i will have to upgrade to 64bit to take advantage of the ram increase and consequently, my SLI system

what do you guys think?

Best-

Stick with 2GB RAM until you upgrade to a 64-bit operating system.

Your Vista 32 should run a little better with the extra 1.5Gb that it can use but performance wise, I doubt if you gonna see any improvement with it thou.

How about your OC on that quad, if you run lower then 3,0GHz you may hamper your performance, you´re runing two 8800GTX.

i saw a big increase in everything going to 4gb. the problem is x32 sees 4gb-registry-video memory. so for you, that means youll have a max of ~2.2GB ram
