I just broke the 15K barrier - Page 3

The best I could do with this setup was a bit over 12K, so if you can get to 15K with your setup, at the default resolution and not a custom resolution, than that would rock for you. =D Then again, is that your max resolution on your monitor?

What size is your monitor?

Is 1152x864 the max resolution for your monitor?

OK help out a gaming/GPU noob here.... I just hit 15K on a single 8800GT OC'd to 733/1728/1093 in my sig rig. I thought it was ok->avg but seems that is pretty damned good?

Thread Starter

I'm currently running 1440 x 900. Supreme Commander Forged Alliance as well.

Edit: it appears that the monitor doesn't support anything over 900. It's a Hanns HW191D monitor, I had it for about a year and a half, give or take.

Here's the first link I could find for it:

I guess that is why your 3DMarks06 is running at 1152x864....

Bummer that your monitor can't do at least 1024 res, because your score can't really be compared to others........

Too bad I don't have the professional version, because then I could try to run it at a lower res and see how much my score increases. Oh well......Time to go to bed.....

*sigh*

I tried with this computer, at stock settings, and got around 3,000. It was pathetic, 1-2 FPS throughout the whole thing.

That sucks. One more reason to love my monitor.

Guess I'm the only other one who saw that. 70C on the CPU, somehow I don't think 4.2 ghz is worth that kind of heat.

Is that on 3DMark06? I used to get 2268 with an E4400 OC'd from 2.0 to 2.6GHz and an ATI AIW X800XT at Stock Speeds.

Going to a Q9300@3.113 and an EVGA 8800GTS OC'd to 775/1000/1936 gave me 14,549! Night and day difference! Before had to run UT3 on medium to medium-low settings, now setting are all maxed including vsync, etc. great upgrade!
