Anyone know whats a safe overclock on a pentium D 915 on air? Also whats a good overclocking software to do so?

Dont overclock with software.

Here are the D915 specs from Intel.


I never used those CPUs, so all I can do is recommend you google the max voltage the CPU can handle, set it, check temps at load, then lower the vcore until the temps are below 60C load, then start raising the FSB 5MHz at a time and test for stability. Dont forget to adjust your ram accordingly.

You don't overclock using software (well it's not recommended), you do it though the BIOS. Here is a link to a tutorial on how to overclock CPUs
