well you don't need both a DVD-ROM and CD-RW for $32 combined

get a combo drive for ~$20. there, $12 saved!

how much is the aggregate ship cost?

you'll save another $10 with kamikaze's suggestion
Quote:
To get that 10$ back, get the Sapphire HD 2600XT 256Mb GDDR3 for 69.99$
It will perform the same as that 8600GT.

try getting a better psu, an amd 5000x2 black edition and a better mobo... then you can oc to about 3.2 ghz, and save yourself an extra waste of time and get a 3870 or 9600gt... you would have a lot better experience than what you got there...

I bought it myself for my 1st build.
I'm keeping the psu as a spare (a very good spare that is)

and id get a 4600+ instead of the 4400+ for $7 more

EDIT: i assume you already have the 8600GT based on your current rig. if not and you are starting over, splurge and get a 9600GT for $145, or an 8800GT for another $30

EDIT: get SATA dvd burners instead for less clutter.
He wants this case, and the power suppy is fine.
It is a client build, so I have no parts to start with.
Proc switched to a 4600+.

is the 8600GT nessary? you already have a nice HD 3200, adquete for most things which can crossfire with a HD 3450/3470 which would be more cost efficent.
You really confused me. That is a deactivated Micro ATX Open case. No thanks.

The computer will be used from Light to medium gaming, but he wants to run Vista well, and not have to overclock or upgrade.
