Yeh they're not trying to make more money directly from xp, they just want to keep users using xp, so there's no transition to linux. It's how microsoft makes money, ensuring that windows is on everything they can get it on. If linux started acting that way, they would have a problem.

1GHz processors limitation is a problem since they are preselling MSI Wind 10" with Z540 1.6GHz Windows XP versions.
