E8400 Prime95 errors - Not overheating - Page 2

You have a out of date Prime95, you need version 25.6 for it to work well with your processor. That prime is only testing 1 core of your two cores. In otherwords, your processor isnt near as stable as you think.

You are going to need more voltage for those speeds... Letting your board set voltages automatically is never a good idea.

Thanks for the tip about prime, I'll DL the latest version. I'll also try setting some of the voltages manually. We'll see how that goes.

Ah, the newer version of prime95 is much slicker. It hasn't been running long, but so far so good at 3.6. I've been using RealTemp 2.5 to monitor the temps.
