wait, did they just compare an os from 1999 to an os from 2007-2008

in other news, a 1950's convertible is broken into less than a 2000 civic

Vista is probably the most secure windows ever, however we all know that just b/c it's the securest doesn't make it impenetrable.

However... The same logic applies to MS. How can you trust their study, that shows Vista is the most secure MS OS ever; because their study results could help generate more sales for them!!

Microsoft's logic is ridiculous, as it totally undermines their own study, showing Vista as the most secure.

Don't trust the results of a study that show X is true, when it's carried out by a company that has something to gain from a study showing X is true. That's exactly what MS has done with their in-house security study, showing Vista is the most secure OS ever! Talk about conflict of interest! ...and then, when somebody independent contradicts MS, MS uses the same logic that undermines the veracity of their own studies, to try to undermine the independent study!

Madness!

Good point.

It's par for the course for ANY company to want to make more and more money, even if it involves lying about their products.

They don't seem to take into account the security from the x64 version of Vista, that cut down on a lot of possible issues.
