Why.

Because i want to Upgrade my CPU

but once i've done that I will buy a New PSU & SLI my GPU

What Processor then because my motherboard is limited.

If all you want to get is 3ghz get the cheaper one(q6600), because you won't need the higher multiplier. If you want to go higher someday then go ahead and get the q6700.

Ya but i've been read about and my motherboard & chippy are rubbish when it comes to Quad cores. So i'm now thinking on getting a dual core E8400 or E7200 it so bloody confusing because i don't want to change my mother board yet. I just want a good Gaming Processor

If you want a good gamming processor, I'd go with a E8400 or E8500, they should both hit 4.0 GHz. easily.

Check Ebay as well...........

You want the E8400 or e8500, they have a bigger cache than the e7200 and much higher multipliers which will get you more oc, with a crappy board.

Its doubtful unless your board can support a high fsb, what can your board do fsb wise?

On the e8400 you will need 445 fsb to get 4ghz.

If you find the max stable fsb it can handle then multiply it by 9x, thats your max cpu ghz. Mind you that eventually(around 4.2ghz usually on e8400) you will run out of cpu ability.
