Hello, I’m having trouble with the new motherboard and CPU I recently purchase. I put the CPU and motherboard into my computer case and connected all the wires and I tried to boot up the computer and threes power going into the cpu/motherboard. I Made sure everything was connecting ATX 24 pin, 12v connector, 2gbs of ram, the case connectors, I pretty much done everything. And Still no boot up. I was starting to worry it was my power supply so I bought another power supply and still no power. So I figured to replace my CPU/Motherboard with my old components and still no power. So I came to the conclusion that my new power supply and old power supply are both dead. I’m not sure what else to do. Its one problem after another. If you guys have any advice at all please anything is worth a shot at this point. Links to my CPU/Motherboard I purchase

Those two are compatible with each other. Is there any error beeps comming from the system? (You might need to plug a system speaker in the motherboard to hear them).

Do any of the fans turn on when you power the system on?

Are you sure that the power button on the case is plugged into the right header on the motherboard?

Just a few things to look into.

Have you double checked that you have connected the case powerswitch to the board correctly?

Alternatively, you could try to isolate the PSU and make sure it works. in order to start the PSU in isolation there are a couple of pins you need to short (see your PSU connector diagram), but be very careful when doing this since you can be electricuted. If you have a multimeter you can check the various power rails to see if you get the various voltages as expected. I would do this before jumping to any conclusions.

If your case power-switch wires are not correctly connected to your motherboard, those two pins will not be shorted (to activate the PSU), and nothing in your system will get power (including the fans of course). Have you double checked that you have made that connection?

Also - using a multimeter (or short-tester) see if your case power-switch actually does anything at the wire-ends. You could also have a faulty switch. Divider and conquer like this:
- Check the case switch circuiry (from switch to wire, from wire to Mobo)
- Check the PSU in isolation (after shorting the connector pins appropriately see if you can get the PSU to turn on and then measure the voltages at the connector with a DC multimeter. Is 12V really 12V, is 5V correct? etc)
