HDMI output turning off

Thread Starter
I have a rather interesting problem. I recently finished up my HTPC build and hooked it up to my Panasonic plasma TV. The picture quality is incredible, but my issue is regarding HDMI. If I switch to my set-top box or turn off the TV and leave the HTPC on, the only way to get output back from the HTPC is to reboot it. Switching back to the HDMI input through the TV results in a black screen. It isn't such a big issue to reboot it whenever I want to watch something, although I am sure it will get boring quickly. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?
