Recommend Board for E8400

Thread Starter
Im an AMD guy, but could not pass up that Deal @ CompUsa for the E8400s for $139. So I got some. And I am going to build an extra machine. Trying to stay in the budget of $100 to $200. Any suggestions and recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I was waiting for this tread to put up, as so many people here got in on that fiasco.

OT: I am wondering the same thing, bump.

I think any decent P35 board would be a good choice. There are some favorites like the DFI P35 Dark, or the ASUS P5K-E, or the Abit IP35-E, or the Gigabyte P35 DS3L. Any one of those will be perfect for what you want. I personally would go with the DFI board.

i just built a rig with the abit ip35 pro and have got to say i'm pleased. the only pain in the arse is that you need a floppy disk to flash the bios, and there's no way to save your CMOS settings so you can restore them after a failed OC. but the board took my q9300 to 475FSB without a complaint.

i also hear good things about the gigabyte ds3r and ds3l, both are a bit cheaper than the ip35 pro.
