[XR]Nvidia will lower the quantity of models

In interviews with NVIDIA Vice President this last reported that the company in the near future will try to make designations of its products friendlier for buyers.

The company is not intended to input a supplemental geForce model , but it will try to decrease the quantity of models in each series.

We will hope that simplification in the model number will not lead to a significant reduction in the number of NVIDIA products .

I'm sure EVGA'll still have the SSC version for that though.

They've already done that.. instead of releasing the 8900 series they just called it the 9800 series, which is technically not in the 8 series...

Although they kinda botched that by literally renaming the 8800GS and introducing another confusing name as the 9600GSO and again literally renaming the 8000m series as the 9000m series...

I think this is just a statement stating that instead of just renaming their old models in hope of milking more out of the consumers they are going to cut the crap and just stop innovating...

Imagen that.

Great. Now we will have the same core with minor tweaks renamed to a different series more often. *facepalm*

You forgot the GTS512 and Ultra but then you have different versions of the cards with more memory etc, let alone EVGA's Super-SuperClocked versions, ans XFX's XXX Alphadog versions.

Its crazy lol.
all those overclocked version are in another category, here we're talking only about nvidia stuff, not evga, asus, etc...

but yeah, i forgot the ultra and the gts512
