New to everything

BUT computing. Currently using an Apple G5. Decided to switch to PC for better gaming and workstation (even though Macs are for workstation).

I've never OCed, and I don't know the apps for it and memory testing too. I know of 3d Mark since my brother uses it. I really don't know much about upgrading and increasing system performance. So I'll have to learn all of that as I go along. The rig I have now is my first rig that I built. Still getting all the parts ordered because my parents don't want me to get everything from Newegg.. >.>..

Anyways... I'm 14. I'm into graphic designing and gaming. My current Mac has Maya 8.5 Unlimited and Photoshop CS2. No, I am not spoiled. I have to buy everything with my own money but I didn't buy Maya. Too expensive. I am proficient with PS and I just started Maya. I guess I can say I learn quickly since I built a computer by myself reading manuals. Though, anyone that can read can probably do it. I've been using Mac since forever and now Windows is a HUGE change for me. Basically, I'm a noob. I'm not really asking you to teach me because I can learn MOST of it by myself. Not being arrogant or anything. You can just prod me in the right direction.

Thanks,
-DragonLotus

You payed for that rig yourself dude?
Dang...

Do you get allowance or something? Tons of money at birthdays?

I paid $600 for my computer when I was 13, which was last year, and it took a while to save up for that with minimal birthday money, no allowance, etc.

Oh. Sorry about the question I forgot. :\\

@rohuma: yes I payed it myself. I work as a soccer ref. Been doing it since I was ten. I don't have an allowance and I don't get a lot of money for birthdays. I get like a maximum of 100 dollars.

Lol. Thanks. Right now, I'm using Digital Tutors vids and making a Mistubishi Eclipse. I had to put it on hold because my Mac started getting like 2 FPS when I had Maya up.
