Help Overclocking AMD FX-72s 4x4 Asus L1n64-SLI ws

Specs-
board - Asus L1n64- SLI ws
Cpu- Two Dual Core AMD FX-72s 2.80Ghz (dual socket L1 board)
Memory - OCZ platinum 800MHZ
Video cards- Two EVGA 8800 GTS superclocked 640mb
Fan cooled
Windows XP X64

Ive managed to push up the front side bus from 200 to 215 without raises volatage or the temperature levels running stable with Prime 95. That Brought the CPUs to 3.0 and the memory to 850 Mhz or somethin close to that. When i go any higher i cant get it to boot into windows stable, i think im haveing trouble with voltage i believe , which to set higher or lower because i get some effects when raiseing it slightly but nothing can keep it stable.Anyone have any ideas??

AMDFXASUS, try dropping your memory to DDR2 533 and see if that helps. Right now your memory frequency is overclocked 25mhz. Perhaps that is your problem. I'd recommend finding the limits of each component before you start overclocking any further. A guide on this can be found here: http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ml#post3559197.
How much vcore are you currently running? I'd also recommend filling in your system specifications so we know what your running in your rig. You can do this by going here: http://www.overclock.net/specs.php?do=addsystem

Good luck

AMDFXASUS, give DDR2 667 a shot and see where that takes you. Have you tried testing your memory with memtest at those speeds?

Good luck

AMDFXASUS, did you run tests 5 and 8? How much vcore are you running at the moment? I'd recommend finding the limits of each component for a baseline.

Good luck

AMDFXASUS, ok thats good. I was just wondering because by default memtest does not run tests 5 and 8. I would drop the memory anyways just in case and play with the frequency and sub-timings later.

Good luck
