Even without raising the vcore more than 1.350 ?

But a brisbane running on 3GHz has much a difference from a windsor 3GHz ? Note that I'm only going to use the PC for gaming. The price difference is quite high too.

Yes I know, the reason I want to upgrade is because of the bottleneck that I mentioned on the first post.

I wouldnt know exactly how far a brisbane can go on stock voltage.. ive heard they can take quite a bit...

If a windsor and a brisbane were both running at 3ghz with 512k cache they would basically perform identical... but if it was a 1m cache windsor, I guarantee you it would smoke the brisbane, even if both were operating at the same clock speed, if only due to the doubled cachemem...

My friend has a windsor 5400+ (dual 2.8) and mine is too, except mine has the 1m cache and I benchmark slighly higher than him... Of course he can turn around and bring his 2.8 up to a silly number like 3.6 or something, and wth mine at 3.4 they would be about the same...

At the same speeds my 6000 is SLIGHTLY faster than my 5000BE, not smoked.

As for this thread, I assume you have turned off cool and quiet.
