Is the GTS you are purchasing G92 or G80 ?. I would go with an XFX GTS (G92).

I am going to wait and see what prices are and the benchmarks of the new cards that are going to come out and what prices the old cards will be

Well if you do decide to go with an G92 GTS then I would go with either the eVGA or the XFX models. Good idea to wait as there should be benchmarks comparing the Radeon 4 series with the Nvidia 99 series.

No problem. When the mobo is 800, the 1066 ram will be recognized below 1066. By changing the ratio of fsb to ram, you can reach 1066.

I don't know why they price the 500GB AAKS at the price of 400GB AAKS.

To be totally honest, I'd consider a non SLI board if you're not gonna use it- if you were to go with something like a blood iron, you'd save a lot of dough to go towards a better graphics card. SLi does NOT scale well- at stock gpu clocks, I went from ~15000 in 3dmark06 to about 17000. Figure less than a 20% increase in performance. Plus the 9900 cards look like they're gonna be pretty awesome!

getting a sli board for the future so then I could sli two 9900 instead of getting a 1080 for example

I use LG and they have been serving me well all this time. I have two 16X DVD. I have heard a few people recommend LiteOn.
