I don't like the idea of multiple GPU's either. I would go with a 750i or DDR3 based x38 or P35 board.

I only say to go DDR3 so you don't have to throw your RAM away in 2 years when you want to step up to a new platform.

Lastly look into the 640GB AAKS, or the Samsung F1 640's and RAID a couple together.

Don't throw money into Vista Ultimate unless animated desktops are worth $100 to you.

Do you really need vista ultim 64bit, you only have 2Gbs? I'd get XP pro oem until windowz 7 comes out.

Definitely a raptor HDD or 2x 320Gbs in RAID 0.
And if your spending that much on a PSU, get a PC Power & Cooling 750W quad(oops not modular).
And if your getting this sweet rig go 22" on the monitor Samsungs are niccce!
The T.R.U.E is good but I wouldn't suggest the 9700. It is overpriced and doesn't perform well.

The Q9xxx series of CPUs generally don't overclock as well as their 65nm brethren and are more expensive. The HD4xxx series will be out in June or July and only the GDDR3 version was planned for may (I think this may be a flop).

8800 Ultras are extremely expensive for what they offer and don't perform too much better than the 8800GTS 92. I would suggest maybe looking for a 9800GTX for cheap but the GTS would make you very happy anyway.

Definetely don't throw money into Ultimate. Home Premium is cheaper and has 90% of the features. The other 10% are useless.

As for the 750i, I haven't heard great things about their quad core overclocking

It won't be. DDR3 isn't even mainstream yet. DDR4 is about 2-3 years away.

Stick with the Auzentech X-FI Prelude. That's what Im going with and I don't regret it.

adding on/agreeing with people's suggestions:

CPU Cooler: TRUE + 120mm fan, maybe Scythe Slipstream
CPU: Q6700
GPU: EVGA 2x8800GTS 512
RAM: Ballistix has had a lot of failed sticks recently. You may want to consider getting some gskill ram

soundcard: what you have now is good. Auzentech X-Fi Prelude is definitely awesome. However having a good soundcard is completely pointless without good speakers. These speakers (Z-5500) are great and at a decent price:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...1120&Tpk=Z5500

you can get two of those WD HDDs and run them in RAID! more storage!!

You could also consider getting some aftermarket coolers for your GPU if you have extra money. Consider the accelero s1 or thermaltake duorbs.
Monster.

I have Logitech X-530 5.1 Speaker which are good enough for me
I am still going to get crucial Ballistix because I am building this pc late june or mid july since I am waiting for the benchmarks on the new graphic cards
so hopefully crucial will have less failed ram by them
Q6600 is enough for me I don't need a Q6700
also WD 500gb is enough for me il get another one later when I need it

Should I get a evega 750i board instead of 780i since people are complaining that the 780i is having problems :/
