I have the gigabyte board you are going to get, I really like it. Very stable and oc's very well. When you get it update the bios to the F5 version. Yours might come with it already. Enjoy

I think you will be easily throttle it beyond 2.8 and 3.0 + is possible with good cooling. Mine is 9500 with GA MA790x ds4 f4, 2GB of geil. Running at 2827.2 mhz on air cooling
Happy OC

I'm trying to install vista, but it isn't going well. At first everything was going well, but when I left the room I heard a beep (I believe the computer restarted during install). It detected my harddrive at first, but now when I start it I get a BOOTMGR missing error. I then tried to use the Vista DVD to install again, but now it doesn't detect my harddrive. What can I do?

Check your bios setting. If you are using SATA (I am sure you are) Then change the mode to Native Ide. Cause SB600 of your mobo has SATA-AHCI compatibility problem. By the way are you running in stock speed or overclocked?

I got it to work... put in another sata cable and it worked. I plan on overclocking once I get everything updated and get my wiring looking good. Any tips to keep the 1394 connectors on (worst case I won't use the extra one). They keep coming out and my hands are too big to put 9 little connectors in.

LOL i think there is a 1394 port on the backpanel of your mobo. If that is enough then leave those connection thing aside. And good luck with the oc.

Well I got everything working and Vista is updated. One of my sets of memory were DOA and I had to send them back, but it's not too much for shipping. I now want to start OCing, but I don't know where to start. I have downloaded AMD overdrive, but still don't know exactly what to do. Any tips or links to good OCing info for newbies.

(That case was so huge that I had to take a saw to my desk to get things to work... lol.)
