Q6600 or e8400? - Page 2

Q6600 is best for people who only game in their free time, and use their computer for like video editing or photoshopping, etc.
E8400 is best for hardcore gamers seeing as it performs better than the Q6600 in games by a minor margin, it can also overclock higher, but it's only dual core...
Anyways, I would rather go with the Q6600 because I don't game much, sort of regret getting the E8400 since I didn't know this before.
Both are great CPUs though, so you don't really lose anything if you go with either.

Yea, I'm looking for the best possible OC out of the particular chip to justify using watercooling. Sorry for not being more specific. I think I may just stick with the Q6600.

I vote for the E8400...I currently use an E8400 for folding with 1.35 volts I can run at 3.82 GHz and at 1.36 I can run 4.0 GHz plus 6mb l2 cache it is an amazing cpu
