new setup

Thread Starter
So one question i have about running two different harddrives at once...non raid0.

I want this HDD for the games, http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16822136011

and this HDD for all my music and file storage, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152107

How would i run these drives? Would i be installing windows on the raptor and having the samsung as a slave? And if a drive is not have windows on it and raptor dies do i lose all the data/not be able to retreve off the big one?

From the way i see it if when installing games just have it on that one and all the other stuff on the other..would that work out just fine?

thanks

If you are planning on using the larger drive for a storage drive, and the raptor for the os/games, then If you ever have to format the os drive, all the data will be safe on the storage drive.

Exactly, Id go as far as to unplug the storage drive before formatting the os drive, just to be sure I dont format the wrong one.
