I have an Asus A8N-SLI Premium mobo. I found out that if I tighten the cpu block too much, it must flex the mobo enough to cause something to short and my system won't post. I panic'd the first time, too

Try loosening the cpu block screws completely to see if it'll post. If it does, then tighten until it won't post then back off until it does. I hope that's your issue.

OMG could it be this???

There's a VERY small capcitor on this board next to the chipset. My NorthBridge block is touching it, slightly pushing it. Could this be why??

Did you disable the fan speed warning for the CPU_FAN connector within your BIOS? Try connecting a fan (3pin or 4pin, doesn't matter) to the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard and see if it POSTs then.

Thanks man... I will try and put it back in the case, and reset the water cooling again after I get home tonight.
