I have a PC Power and cooling 750 running everything, but I think I'm pushing it
a bit. 2 hard drives, 9800gx2, DVD, q9300, DD 12v-D 5 pump and 4 120 mm fans. You never know what you'll add down the road or how much juice you'll need, so in theory the more the better.
That's far from pushing it. 9800GX2 uses only a few watts more than an 8800GTX/Ultra and I'm running 2x 8800GTX's in SLI along with the older, more power hungry Q6600. That's not even pushing my PSU. I push about 650W max even with a million fans.

I'd wait for the 4870 or the G200, which ever comes out first

Anyways, yes I feel this whole rig is a little silly. I think a quad with 1 9800gx2 and a nice ~700W psu would be more than enough for a couple years of gaming.

I hope you're right. That'll save me some $$ down the road.
I added another fan in the case after i set up my water loop, and when I tried to boot up the first time with it, It wouldn't start. All I got was a flashing stby power led on the mobo. Yanked that fan out and no problem after that. I just figured I was getting to the end of what that PSU would handle.
