IMO Just get a dual.

Also to Lemans .. Sorry man I havent been looking anywhere for prices but the egg.

Believe me. If you got an E8400 which would do like 4.2ghz the quad wouldnt be able to keep up with you.
Sub here has first hand experience with quads, he got mine, and I got it from kennymeister....its been sold over and over just because its performance just isn't what we expected. I know that Ranger98 is folding on an e8400 @ 3.84ghz 1.35v and its getting like 2100ppd. I just orded mine compusa had them on sale for $150 shipped.

E8400 is like one of the fastest if not the fastest Dual-Core on the planet!
