Had a tiny glitch, things are back up and running....Hoochi3 you still out there?

Well I figured out why my output had dropped immensely over the past few days. Apparently my BIOS got reset and I didn't know it. Oh, and my 9600 GSO arrived today. The first thing i did when I put it in was overclock it.

One problem I have with it though is that it sorta whines when I fold. That happens when I fold on my brother's 9800GT as well. Maybe it has something to do with my power supply? I'm not sure.

It's normal for cards to "wine" when folding. Not all cards do it, but alot do.

Good to know. By the way, I'm getting almost 5400 PPD with my 9600 GSO. Once my brother's build is done, I can start folding with his 9800GT, which should do over 6000 PPD.

Well that sucks. My PPD is lower if I fold with both my CPU and GPU instead of just my GPU. Perhaps I'll have to download the single-core client.

That is odd, because my 8800GS loses about 1000ppd when I am folding vmware on my e8400 and the e8400 loses about 400ppd. So I get like 2800ppd out of e8400 and 4100ppd out of 8800gs, both are extremely overclocked.

Well, my total PPD decreases by about 1,000 when I fold in VMware while also folding on my GPU. Perhaps I'll have to do some more investigation.

By the way... 3,000th post!
