We're going to be like speeding bullets soon enough! By the way, I'll probably be running the E6600 at 3.6GHz and the RAM at 1200MHz.

We do have a mighty good team, we have a good chance of staying competitive.

oh and btw, my E6750 and TT120 are both lapped to 2500 grit(gotta have that nice shine to it, ask Retrospect, he got one of my lapped E4300's) , heck I even lapped my E2180 lol

And while we are trying to make some increases I'm gonna jump back to 4.0GHz 24/7 instead of just gaming. So I should gain some time/% there and hope it makes a difference.

Can't wait till that stimulous check comes, gonna go with a E8*** myself probably;

I still haven't gotten my e8400, but I am also setting up a second rig to fold for Team_The_Replacements lol.(my 5000, but at stock.)
post #95 of 5030
All right guys!! I'm a bit happier now

So I took some time and bumped my oc back to 4.0GHz and while I was at it decided to try for my 10min/% again and I think I did it. Tightened my ram timings up a bit and got VMWare+Ubuntu back up and running.

After that and waiting a couple of %'s I think I'm sitting at 9 min. and 50 seconds.

I'm gonna run it 24/7 and see how it does though, sometimes it seems I start out fast but after like 10%-20% it slows down a bit. Hopefully it won't.

Hey just so we are all on the same page what version of smp are you all running? I am running V5 5.91
post #100 of 5030
I'm running 5.91, but I've been considering trying out the Linux SMP in VMware lately. The only problem I see with running VMware would be while I'm playing games. Right now I can play games and let the Windows SMP client run in the background. I'm not sure how well that'll work with VMware running in the background instead.

Also, I'm up to rank 595 on the Overclock.net folding team. My current goal is to reach the top 500. I'll probably reach that goal when I finish my next WU.
